Hope:Week One: 11/29-12/5

The Prophets

Sunday November 29th:

Isaiah 40:9-11

“Go up on a high mountain, Zion, messenger of good news, Raise your

voice forcefully, Jerusalem, messenger of good news; Raise it up, do not fear.

Say to the cities of Judah, “Here is your God!”

Behold, the Lord God will come with might, With His arm ruling for Him. Behold, His

compensation is with Him, And His reward before Him.

Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs, And carry them in

the fold of His robe; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.

Monday November 30th:

Galatians 4:4-7 “But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a

woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters.

Because you are sons, God has sent the

Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba! Father!”

Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

Tuesday December 1st:

Psalm 31:23-24

“Love the Lord, all his faithful people!

The Lord preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he pays back in full.

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Wednesday December 2nd:

Romans 15:13

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so

that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Thursday December 3rd:

Hebrews 10:23-25

“Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for

He who promised is faithful; and let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but

encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Friday December 4th:

Psalm 13:5-6

“But I have trusted in Your faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice in Your

salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has looked after me.”

Saturday December 5th:

Ephesians 1:18-19a

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe.
